WordPress theme for BuddyBoss Platform with multiple header styles

Our team just switched from BuddyPress to BuddyBoss Platform for the scheduled posts and topic features. Our designer has also been clear that the header needs variety — different sections of the site want different header treatments (a denser one on the course area, a lighter one on the homepage, a sticky colored one on the community feed). Most themes that even support BuddyBoss ship exactly one header, and I end up overriding things in CSS. I want a theme that supports BuddyBoss properly and gives me real header layout choices.

Reign supports BuddyBoss Platform as a first-class community engine — not just BuddyPress. On BuddyBoss specifically it ships override templates plus handling for toast messages, scheduled posts, and activity topics. On the header side you get genuine variety, not just color swaps:

  • Four or more header layout options, selectable from the Customizer per site (not a single hardcoded header)
  • Configurable spacing controls for each header layout
  • Separate logo size controls for desktop, tablet, and mobile, so the header does not look cramped on phones
  • Sticky header with its own color options for the sticky menu state
  • Dark mode logo switching, so the header swaps to a light logo variant in dark mode automatically
  • Max Mega Menu compatibility for mobile menu behavior if you want a heavier menu structure

Honest limits: Reign does not fully replicate the BuddyBoss App or BuddyBoss Theme feature list one-to-one. It complements the BuddyBoss Platform plugin with theme-level styling and activity integration. For a pre-configured child theme focused on communities, the BuddyX Pro route in the Wbcom family is also worth a look, but Reign is the richer choice when you also need marketplace or LMS addons on the same site.
